I am a mother of two and wanted a change of career, something I could do around my children so I choose the beauty industry. Coming from a retail background finding the right school was very important to me. I heard about the SSBT through a google search and decided to try them out.
I have attended a wax course and a gel nail extension course and enjoyed the two very much. I was very nervous on my first course which was the waxing as I have never done anything in the beauty industry before. Alison & Angela made me feel very welcome at put my mind at ease straight away.
Alison is an excellent teacher as she explained everything so easily that even I understood it! Alison also guides you step by step when it comes to do the practical which can be a little daunting to begin with. I also received great advice on starting my own business and advise on pricing and product too. Alison is more than happy for you to call her for advise once you go it alone (which I have done) I really enjoyed both the theory and practical side of both my courses and I passed them both too! The southern school of beauty has a lovely friendly environment and is a great place to learn and I will certainly be returning to attend more courses!

"I just wanted to send a quick e-mail to say that I really enjoyed the make-up course on Friday and appreciated all your running around to get people for me to work on. It certainly helped me brush up my skills and you gave me some excellent tips. I really felt I got a lot out of it and thought everything was really well organised. Angela was great in keeping us topped up with refreshements and was a very patient model too!
The make-up trial for my bride went well on Sunday, however I was extremely pleased I attended the course before hand. As you mentioned i just need to get a bit quicker and will be working on that in the next month before the wedding.
I will certainly recommend your training college to other people who I know would be interested, and would very much like to come back and do the facials course at some point soon.
